Since 1985, Ladie and Friends Inc. has been known for the success of its wooden Lizzie High dolls. As sweet and fragile as they are, the company felt that there might be younger doll lovers who would enjoy a softer, more playable form. While retaining the trademark "two dots for eyes", Lizzie's Shoe String Babies are soft and huggable. Curly hairdos and dangling shoes, some with laces and some with buckles, add to their whimsy appeal. They are approximately 12" tall with a name and dressed in removable, washable clothing. Each baby comes with a huggable plush pal of her own--a puppy, a kitty or a bunny. Each doll carries a canvas bag filled with shoelaces in an adorable daisy covered box perfect for storing accessories or taking to a friends house for an afternoon of play. There are outfits to "dress up" the Shoe String Babies, from pajamas, bathrobe, dresses and overalls to swimsuits, sweaters and jackets.
